Brunswick SLSC Awards 2015/16 Season

On the beach over the 2015/16 summer, New South Wales Surf Life Saving clubs had 644 critical incidents. Of those, 208 critical incidents were on the far north coast, representing nearly one-third of the state incidents.
A massive 15,000 visitors enjoyed Brunswick Beach during the season and Brunswick SLSC made 13 rescues and treated 25 people for first aid incidents.

Last Saturday night, Brunswick Surf Life Savers and their families gathered at Mullumbimby Bowling Club for their annual end-of-season presentation night.

They were joined by Brunswick SLSC life members and far north coast SLS officials, as club president Craig Reid and club captain Matt Holmes awarded the trophies.

Recipients of awards included: Patrol Person of the Year – Sage Nara; First Time Rescuers – Brianna Clarkson, Sam Atkins and Bryce Holmes; Most Patrol Hours for the Season – Bryce Holmes with more than 200 hours; and Senior Club Person of the Year – Sue Keough. The Patrol of the Year went to Patrol 5. From Echo, June 3, 2016 | by Eve Jeffery
