Brunswick SLSC heads to WA

In their second trek to Perth for the Australian Surf Life Saving Championships (The Aussies), competitors from the Brunswick SLSC will tow the club’s boat across the desert for the event which starts on March 31.
The Aussies is the largest event of its kind in the world. Why do they do it? It’s a way to pay back the club –  ‘Once a boatie, always a boatie.’

On Saturday the crew and supporters gathered for a farewell as Phil Batson, Bert Batson (a ring-in from Byron SLSC) and Barry Hammond prepared to head out.
